RAS – Ricambi Auto Store is stepping into a new product category: car glass. And so RAS Autoglass was born.
We, the founders, have followed our business every step of the way. We watched it being born, grow, go through difficult times and enjoy moments of satisfaction. Satisfaction that, however real, never quite feels like enough. But perhaps we’re all made that way: always looking ahead, trying to do something more.
And it’s this very journey that taught us something fundamental: putting the customer at the centre of everything.
We don’t simply want to answer a request or sell a product. We want to talk to our customers, listen to them and truly understand what they need.
Because behind every purchase there’s a person. There’s a need, a doubt, a problem to solve, or simply the wish to be sure you’ve made the right choice.
For years we’ve worked in the car parts world, helping private customers, garages and professionals every day to find the right part for their vehicle.
We founders come from completely different worlds, with studies, experiences and professional backgrounds that, at first glance, seem to have little or nothing in common.
Some of us come from fashion – yes, really, fashion. Some from radio, where learning to listen and communicate with people is part of the job. Some from advertising, where every day you have to find a way to tell a story and turn it into an emotion. Some from solid sales experience, where you learn to understand people and their needs, build relationships and, above all, earn trust over time. And some from mathematics, a world of numbers, logic, precision and attention to detail.
And that’s not all. There are our passions, many and varied, that each of us has brought into this business.
Different paths, different languages, different points of view. And perhaps that is exactly our strength.
When it’s time to make a decision, especially the tougher ones, we don’t all see things the same way. We compare notes. We debate. We analyse. Sometimes we change our minds.
But there’s one thing that’s never missing: enthusiasm.
That energy that drives us to look for a solution even when it isn’t obvious, to turn a difficulty into an opportunity and to face even the most complicated decisions with the desire to build something new.
Because we’ve learnt that you don’t need to be the same to head in the same direction. You need to share the desire to get somewhere. And we want to get there together.
At this point we asked ourselves a question: what emotion can a piece of glass give you?
The answer: far more than you might imagine.
The emotion starts the moment you choose it. You have to like what you see, the place where you shop, the colours, the experience. That feeling has to come that you’ve found the right product – and not only that, but also the right place. Because if you don’t feel you’re in the right place, in the end you leave.
Then comes the conversation with our support team. We talk to you, listen to your needs, check compatibility and together we reach a decision. That glass is the right one for your car.
It arrives. You fit it. You look at it. And maybe you catch your reflection in it. Because, let’s be honest… who hasn’t?
And that’s the moment you realise a piece of glass isn’t just a piece of glass.
It’s what you’ll see every time you get into your car. It’s the landscapes you’ll pass through, the morning light, the road ahead of you. It’s something that will be there, right in front of your eyes, every day.
On the good days, when you feel like singing, when you set off on a trip, when you’re finally where you want to be. But also on the bad days, when you’re tired, when your head is full of a thousand thoughts, when the road seems longer than usual.
The glass will always be there. Separating you from the world, yet at the same time letting you see it. Every day, whatever happens, it will be your window on the road.
We can talk about design, colours, technology, experience and emotions. But when it comes to car glass, everything starts and ends in one place: feeling safe.
And we want to be sure, together with you, that you’ve made the right choice.
That’s why, for us, support isn’t just a service. It’s part of the product.
We don’t want you to have to know codes, abbreviations, compatibility or technical specifications. That’s our job.
Your job is to tell us about your car, your needs and what you’re looking for. We’ll take care of the rest.
Because behind every piece of glass we sell there’s a person who trusted us. And to us, that trust is worth more than a sale.
That’s also why we keep looking at ourselves in the mirror and asking: “Can we do something more?”
The answer, almost always, is yes.
RAS Autoglass was born with the same idea as Ricambi Auto Store: not simply to sell a product, but to build an experience that makes you want to come back.
Because our goal isn’t just to deliver a piece of glass. It’s to guide you through the choice, listen to you, help you, find the right solution together and make sure that in the end you can say: “OK, that’s great. I’m happy. It’s the right part.”
And for us, those words are worth more than anything else.
This is the perfect opportunity to thank the whole RAS team.
Because, let’s face it… how much patience does it take to work with us? 😄
Between ideas, changes of direction, discussions, phone calls, projects that spring up out of nowhere and decisions to make every day, we’re certainly never bored.
But behind all this there’s a team that follows us, advises us, puts up with us and, above all, puts its commitment into what we do every single day.
And perhaps that’s the best thing about RAS: we’re not just people who work together. We’re different people trying, together, to build something.
To all of you, thank you. For your patience. For your energy. For your ideas. For being there in the good times and the harder ones.
And above all, thank you for continuing to believe in it, even when we say: “OK, this is the last change.” …and we all know it will never really be the last. 😄
We believe a thank-you always does you good.
No matter where you are, what your role was or which path you chose to take afterwards.
Saying thank you means recognising the value of the people beside us, of those who helped us, of those who taught us something and of those who, in one way or another, contributed to the journey.
Because in life and in work we can change direction, grow, make mistakes and start again. But one thing should never change: gratitude towards those who have been part of our journey.
